Why Maintain A Vacant Lot?
Whether your property is a two acre parcel in your backyard or a fifty acre field you are maintaining from out of state, there are many advantages to maintaining your vacant lot:
Compliance with state and city ordinances: There are many ordinances in place that regulate what type of weed grows in your vacant property, how tall they can be, how much trash is visible, etc. Local code enforcement is generally pretty flexible as long as you are responsive, but a serious headache and potential financial and legal burden if you do not. By taking proactive action to keep your lot clean and compliant you can avoid these issues and never receive a notice from them again.
Fire Protection: It is not at all uncommon for fires to start in the tall, dry weeds of a vacant field, especially any time around the 4th of July. By keeping your weeds cut short you can protect your property and shield yourself from the potential liability.
Value Retention: Especially when a lot is up for sale, it is important to present it at its best. By keeping your lot cut and clean you can better guarantee that it will be ready for viewing at any time, even from out of state.
Community: In addition to all the above reasons, properly maintaining your vacant lot is just a neighborly thing to do. No one likes being told what to do with their property, but keeping your lot in good, clean condition can go a long way to improving the community in which it resides. It makes the neighborhood safer, increases surrounding property values and helps to keep noxious weeds like the dreaded goathead from spreading further. Idaho is a beautiful place to live and we all need to do our part to keep it that way.
Why Hire Casey’s Tractor for your lot maintenance?
Registered, Licensed, insured
Casey’s Tractor is a fully licensed and insured LLC registered in the state of Idaho. We are highly insured in order to meet the requirements of some of our larger customers. All of our vehicles and trailers meet city safety regulations and laws. Within the company we have a Class A license, an applicator’s license for chemical weed control, and other certifications to help us serve our customers’ needs.
Experience
With over 35 consecutive years working in the Treasure Valley and beyond, we are very established in the area. We often work with local code enforcement and companies to be sure everything is safe and compliant. We have done countless jobs through out the greater Treasure Valley and beyond from backyard pastures to enormous solar farms, and everything in between.
Equipment
Working with tractors requires equal parts tractor operation and repair. As a result having knowledge of the equipment and the tools necessary to keep the equipment going is absolutely necessary for a sustainable tractor-based business. That’s why it’s important that we at Casey’s Tractor do everything we can to have the equipment we need with us onsite and in the best shape possible. Each vehicle has an air compressor to manage flat tires while on the job and for keeping the tractor from overheating. Reserve fuel tanks allow us to refuel without leaving the job site. We have multiple cabbed tractors with safety equipment like chain guards and fire extinguishers, just in case. We own a 14 yard hydraulic dump trailer for large trash disposal, and a hydraulic clam-shell bucket for fast loading. Multiple mowers of various sizes, as large as 12 feet wide to help with larger jobs. We have multiple tillers, sprayers, and other pieces of equipment. Our many attachments help us to meet a wide array of our customers’ needs, and the equipment redundancy allows us to get two tractors on one job at once when necessary, and have a back-up when one of them breaks. All of this means that we spend more time on your job site instead of in the shop.
Honest and reliable
We work hard to get the job right and to your satisfaction. In the event that a product is used, or equipment rented we will charge you the actual cost without uplift. If it is possible to save you some money on your bid we will, like sharing rental costs or dump fees with other customers. Or if there is a job that we think another contractor may be able to do better, faster or cheaper, we will happily refer you to them. We want to succeed with our customers, not in spite of them.
